Wilson named Women's POTM for April

Georgia Wilson has been voted the Argyle Women’s Player of the Month for April.

Scoring two goals in an important last two games for Argyle helped the Greens secure safety in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division against Gwalia United on the final day.

Georgia won the supporters’ vote with 50% of the vote, ahead of Imy Crawford (40%), Giota Papaioannou (6%) and Lulu Jarvis (4%).

Wilson said: “I'm delighted to have been named Player of the Month for the second time this season and also to have played a role in securing our survival in the league.

“Staying up was our top priority and the team showed incredible spirit, especially in this last month, to do so. I'm so glad we turned those performances into vital results. Up the Greens!”
