Under-18s announce pre-season schedule

Argyle Under-18s will play five pre-season fixtures in preparation for their busy 2025/26 campaign.

Jamie Lowry’s side will feature in several competitions, alongside Youth Alliance League South play, during the upcoming season, meaning a strong set of pre-season friendlies is critical for key preparation.

The Greens will play two home ties, against Wigan Athletic and Burton Albion, in July, separated by a fixture away to AFC Newquay in the middle of the month.

Wigan finished fifth in the Premier League Under-18 Professional Development League last campaign, whilst Burton claimed the seventh spot in the Youth Alliance League North, losing just seven of their 24 league fixtures.

Argyle’s pre-season preparations end with a trip to the North West at the end of July and the start of August, to face Wrexham and Liverpool Foundation, before returning to Devon ahead of the opening weekend of fixtures.
