Lulu Jarvis signs new Argyle contract
Lulu Jarvis has committed to Argyle for the 2025/26 FAWNL Southern Premier Division season, by signing a new contract.
The Jamaican international joined the Greens last summer, after ending her time with Women’s Super League side Brighton & Hove Albion.
Last campaign, Jarvis featured 27 times, scoring three goals. These included the winner in Argyle’s 1-0 cup quarter-final victory over Watford, whilst the other helped push the Greens to league safety on the final day of the season against Gwalia United.
Jarvis said it was an easy choice to continue her time in the South West, having spoken with new Head Coach Marie Hourihan during the off-season, and the experiences at Home Park in front of the Green Army last season.
“Last year wasn’t maybe the season that we hoped for,” she told Argyle TV. “However, I think the club still had huge potential to push in the right direction. Seeing things fall into place in the off-season made the decision a lot easier for me.
“After the first few words Marie said, I was pretty much: ‘okay, I know where I'm going.’ She was very keen on having the players who would really push us towards the top of the table and hopefully get us in and around promotion. I really wanted to be involved in that and felt like I couldn't miss the opportunity.
“Last year, I just needed to play. I hadn't played for a few seasons before that, so for me it was just important to get through the season, get as many minutes as I could and stay fit. Looking at this season, ideally the same, but getting the goals, the assists, and being a very impactful player.
“Home Park is my favourite stadium that I've played at and I'm just really looking forward to this season playing there with the girls.”
