Hatch named in League Football Education 11 for April
Under-18s forward Joe Hatch has been named in the League Football Education 11 for April 2024.
The LFE acknowledges performances on the pitch and in the classroom and assesses other factors, including involvement within the local community.
Alongside Joe’s excellent start to the season prior to injury, which saw him constantly find the back of the net and earn a first-team call-up, Hatch worked hard academically.
Hatch used his time away from football to work hard on his studies, attending 11 compensatory education sessions and achieving top marks of D*D*D* in his BTEC. He was also the first apprentice at the club to complete his Sporting Excellence Professional apprenticeship, achieving a Distinction overall.
Joe goes the extra mile in the community too. He has attended numerous primary schools, taking part in question-and-answer sessions in assemblies; completed his refereeing course; and took part in the Plymouth Soup Run, a daily initiative that provides food and drink to homeless and vulnerable people.
Gary Menzies, Argyle Academy’s Head of Education, said: “Joe has really made the most of his time off the pitch, working hard to upgrade his assignments and keep himself busy around his rehab, proving a role model in the local primary schools and wider community.
"His dedication to his education is evident in his SEP and BTEC results, where he has consistently produced high-quality work and achieved aspirational level grades. Joe has set an outstanding example for his peers and younger boys in the academy with his strong work ethic both on and off the pitch."
