Caleb Watts signs for Argyle

Argyle have made a second summer signing with midfielder Caleb Watts penning a three-year contract with the club.

Having started his professional career at Southampton, Watts also had loan periods at Crawley Town and Morecambe, and most recently played for Devon rivals Exeter City.

Out of contract at the culmination of the 2024/25 season, the 23-year-old has turned down a contract offer from the Grecians in favour of a summer move to the Greens.

Upon completion of the deal, Argyle Head Coach Miron Muslic commented: “Caleb is a player who will add real depth and competition to our midfield options.

“He is a proven performer at League One level having made an impact for Exeter but is also still young and has so much room for growth and development.

“I am really pleased to bring him to Argyle and look forward to welcoming him into the squad when we return for pre-season in June.”

Argyle Head of Football Operations, David Fox, added: “We are very happy to bring Caleb to Argyle.

“He is an energetic midfield player who can get up and down the pitch and was keen to be a part of Miron’s squad.

“Having two players through the door already is a testament to the hard work of the recruitment staff behind the scenes and we hope to continue to add to the squad further in the not-too-distant future.”

The move is subject to EFL approval.
