Argyle Academy Vacancies
We're expanding our Academy team and recruiting for multiple exciting part-time and casual roles within the Foundation Phase (U6–U12) and Medical Department. These roles are integral to delivering a high-quality football and support programme aimed at developing home-grown players for the first team.
Vacancy: Academy Age Group Coach (U9–U12) – Part-Time
This is an important role in the early stages of the Academy pathway, helping to shape our young players' technical and tactical understanding in a professional environment.
Essential Qualifications
• UEFA B License
• FA Youth Award
• FA Safeguarding Workshop
• FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)
Responsibilities
• Plan, deliver and review all coaching sessions and fixtures in line with the club’s syllabus.
• Create and implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
• Conduct Performance Reviews every 6–12 weeks in line with EPPP guidelines.
• Ensure accurate data entry on the Football Intelligence Platform (FIP), Performance Clocks and Audit Tool.
• Work collaboratively with the MDT and recruitment staff to monitor trialists and player needs.
• Attend all CPD events and maintain high standards of professional development.

Pre-Academy Coach (U6–U8) – Part-Time
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and inspiring coaches to work with our youngest players. This is ideal for UEFA C coaches who are committed to developing their careers and working towards UEFA B within 12 months.
Essential Qualifications
• UEFA C (FA Level 2) Coaching License
• FA Safeguarding Workshop
• FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging sessions for U6–U8 players in a fun and age-appropriate environment.
• Contribute to the development of the Pre-Academy and Foundation Phase programme.
• Commit to two to three evenings per week and weekend matchdays.
• Engage with players and parents to build strong developmental relationships.

Academy Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist – Casual
Support the medical needs of Academy players aged 7–16 in training and matchday settings.
Essential Qualifications
• Degree in BSc/MSc Physiotherapy, or BSc Sports Therapy / Rehabilitation
• FA Level 4 Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF), or willingness to complete
• FA Safeguarding Certificate, or willingness to complete
Key Responsibilities
• Provide pitch-side trauma and first aid care
• Lead or assist on injury rehabilitation, as directed by Head of Academy Medical
• Liaise effectively with players, parents, coaches, and medical staff
• Maintain accurate medical documentation
• Attend internal medical CPD events
• Follow all club medical protocols and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)
