Arabella Suttie signs for Argyle Women
Arabella Suttie has signed for Argyle.
The defender featured last season for Stoke City, under Head Coach Marie Hourihan, in the FAWNL Northern Premier Division but has moved to Home Park for the upcoming league campaign, following her boss to the South West.
After making her WSL debut at the age of 18 for Birmingham City, a move to Rugby Borough followed, before Arabella broke through at the Potters.
Last season, Suttie made 30 appearances in red and white, starting 26 times, with one being in the FAWNL Cup semi-final against Argyle at the Theatre of Greens.
Hourihan said: “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Arabella during my time at Stoke and watch her develop into a great defensive player. She was someone I spoke to everyone at Argyle about upon my arrival here at Home Park, and we’re delighted to see that she’s committed to the club. Arabella will be an integral part of our success this season.”
Christian Kent, Executive Lead for Women’s Football at Argyle said: “Arabella was a player Marie immediately identified as one she felt would strengthen the team. Her record last season at Stoke speaks for itself and we are therefore delighted that she’s made the move to Argyle. I have no doubt that she will become a fan favourite quickly with the Green Army!”
The signing is subject to league and FA approval.
